The Bell MX-9 MIPS is an affordable motocross helmet that is equipped with the MIPS energy management system.
MIPS stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System and ensures that in the event of a crash, you have better protection for your brain. When your head suddenly hits the asphalt hard in a fall, the rotational acceleration can cause the brain tissue to endure extremely high tensions. The stretching of the brain tissue caused by these abrupt movements can result in various types of brain injuries. MIPS technology allows your head to move slightly during a crash. This provides extra protection for your brain.
The outer shell is made from light and strong polycarbonate, produced in three shell sizes. The interior of the MX-9 MIPS is antibacterial-treated and fully removable and washable. The closure is a comfortable and strong DD ring.
